Two grey fleshy thumbs up for I Am Legend

People, this is a zombie movie. Which makes me extremely happy.

Sure, the monsters aren't zombies, per se, they're "infected" (of course, according to the "28 Days Later" series, zombies are infected), but "I am Legend" has all the essentials of what I love about zombie flicks: 1) post-apocalyptic world; 2) isolationism; 3) survivalism; 4) not-quite-human creatures desparate to get at your delicous human meat. Other high points: great tension, fun graphics, cool German Shepherd.

What fears do these type of post-apocalyptic movies address for our modern culture?

One warning: DO NOT go see this if you are aching to get a German Shepherd. (You know who you are.) You'd be better off waiting to catch the new Batman. Looks freakin awesome!!! I'm getting all verklempt about it...talk amongst yourselves...who is the best Batman? And why? (For me, it's Christian Bale, hands down)

Hi Carrie! Love your blog!

No, no scarey movies for me. Can we go see a nice movie instead. And invite Liz and Mandy to go too?

I really want to see I Am Legend - the previews look great. And we just found some movie coupons! Hurray! Also, Christian Bale hands down for me as well...first of all, it's Christian Bale...secondly, it wasn't all cheezy, it was more realistic than the other Batmans...and thirdly, it's Christian Bale. I loved him in Newsies too...=)

Looks like a GREAT movie. I've always like Will Smith. And no, I'm not going to let anything dad has to say ruin that!

*sniff* that's one awesome pooch. Too bad the trailer was too blatant about the whole thing.
