My first job was, of course, housecleaning--which I started doing with mom when I was 11. I did that for cash all the way through my junior year of high school.
My second job was clerk/clothes sorter at Babbel's Dry Cleaners in Twin Falls. This was during my senior year of high school. I loved it because everyone I worked with was really nice. PLUS I got to search the pockets of all the prominent townsfolk.
My third job was as a PR assistant for the USU Theatre Dept. That meant I hung posters and made phone calls. It was lame.

First job - Dillard's housekeeping, actually a really great job, but no way could i do it now with having to go to school as well as they would only let me work part time and i need to EAT!
Second job - Quikpayday. Horrid job, never speak of it again.
Third job - Hogi Yogi. Best job ever. great hours, pretty good pay, best boss ever, EXCELLENT food discounts! only three blocks from home and coworkers were more than tolerable. most of them anyway.
1st - Housecleaning when I was 10 yrs old about - did that through my first year of college.
2nd - Babysitting when I was about 12 and on.
3rd - Clerk at The Basement in Kaysville, about 16 yrs old - just a little dollar store. It was pretty fun. Mostly I liked blowing up balloons...& Ry would come visit me there.
The first one I remember was cleaning the office where mom worked. I think I must have been 6 or 7.
Then I cleaned another office where mom worked when I was 9 or 10. I see a pattern here.
But really the first "real" job I got for myself was washing dishes at the Heidelberg in Farmington when there was such a thing.
Looks like mom aka granny farmer forced all her kids into the workforce at an early age.
My kids were all slackers.
I don't think working during high school would have helped me any more. I would have used it all just like I did the money from dillards, and would still be scrounging up money for school anyway.
1st job - Mowing lawns all over the airport
2nd job - selling kirby vacuum cleaners
3rd job - quikpayday, doing collections

2- Painter - summers starting at 18
3- Subway - Sandwich Artist
1st...receptionist...
I made cotton candy in a grand opening for Albertson Food Store. I was outside in the wind for three days. The cotton candy was a free give a way. It kept blowing around in my little booth. 2nd, a car hop for a state street drive-in (fast food)in S.L. The 3rd was marking prices on merchandise for J.C. Penny. That, of course, was before bar codes. You think that was funny, funny was my hourly wage.
