Too much partying, not enough laundry

I've been fooling around all weekend and so haven't got one useful thing done. Which is okay, I guess. Friday night, after taking a nap, I played at Kat's. Saturday morning-ish I played with Mel, B, and Welly. Then I took a nap.

Saturday night I went to Vittles 'n' Fiddles at the Whittier Center with Gretchen. One of the groups that played was Rootbeer Reunion, and they were really really good. The band is made of three brothers (the oldest of whom is 13) from Wellsville. http://www.rootbeerreunion.com/about_us/

Then I dragged Gretchen to a party full of English department people and writers to celebrate the marriage of one of the ladies in my poetry group. I love my English nerd friends. Good, fun people. Then G and I played at her house all night.

This morning, I watched Life of Brian (funny!!) with G, then I came home, played with rats, and took a nap. All my plans for catching up on laundry, housecleaning, paperwork, etc. have not yet materialized. Bah. Well, I've had enough nappage so I should be able to take care of it all this evening.

On a side/bummer note: for those of you who know my friend Helen, she is having major back surgery tomorrow. Please say a little prayer for her. It's going to be bad stuff.
