What are your top three favorite things about your job? I want to hear your input, even if it's terribly insignificant -- such as having a really comfy chair or access to free Twinkies.
My top three:
1. Not having to deal with the general public (this is weighted at like 75%)
2. Sometimes the engineers say really inappropriate things but don't realize that they are-- because they're engineers (sorry Ryan. But you don't really fit into the "engineer" category anyway!) It's extremely entertaining sometimes, and it takes loads of self control not to snicker.
3. My office-neighbor, Kat, keeps me entertained (dancing, throwing objects at me, puppetry). She also gives me chocolate whenever I want it.
7 comments:
1 - not having to serve the general public
2 - being allowed to do my work and not constantly have someone breathing down my neck
3 - management that actually understands why they should acknowledge our good work and not just criticize it
Ooh I like this post...
1 - Access to the internet, and time to blog without feeling bad about it.
2 - Being in control of my own time while at work and the flexible hours.
3 - Being really appreciated by the guys I work with, especially when they realize the place would fall apart without me. Ha! Maybe I like having a little power...is that bad?
Sorry one more...showing them that a girl can rock and even know more than them at times (they have very large male egos which I like to pop on occasion like a balloon...)
Wow. I am mean.
1. Working alone - I can rock out if I want to. No one criticizes my music choices.
2. Working alone - no political BS to deal with
3. Working alone - no one to compete with except me myself and I.
1. I just love the 40-50 minutes I spend driving each way to work for a total of about an hour and a half each day in the car.
2. I love holding my tongue and not telling the customers that I could do this job for a little more than half than they are going to get charged, and it would be the exact same printing.
3. I also really like that I make soooooo much money at my job.
Workin' for the man sucks.
1 - working with the residents
2 - having good friends
3 - give me something useful to do
dad, you are so sarcastic! but i guess it's for a good cause.
1. no one is breathing over my neck, usually. No one really cares what I am doing, as long as I help them when they need it. Its a good feeling.
2. I have almost zero stress which is mostly good but sometimes bad. it can get boring.
3. I get to talk to all my friends. even the ones upstairs that laugh at me and make me laugh.
